Fly Fishing Guiding and Instruction

The web and the world of fly fishing is full of people claiming to be experts and they will take you to the land of giant rising trout.  Good luck.  I wish you the best.  I'm a professional fly fisherman and aquatic scientist so you get the best of both worlds.  If you want guiding and instruction I am available but if you are fishing the spring creeks I urge you to call me for instruction.  Because that's what you need not guiding.  I'm not going to hype streams to make a buck.  These spring creeks are hard to fish but the rewards can be great because you will learn lessons that will last a life time. I will teach you the best techniques and method as well entomology for these streams.  I won't lie to you and I won't promise you that you'll catch big trout.  Because no one can do that.  If you fall for that line you deserve to have your money removed from your wallet.

I have fished these stream with my legendary friends Charlie Fox and others for over 35 years.  I have researched these streams more than anyone. The choice is yours. Here are some other things that you might want to know:

• I do not charge for the use of equipment. I see that other guides and instructors are now trying this.  I guess "their rod fees" didn't make it with my approach.
• I furnish a really good lunch, not an old sandwich which is soggy and anything but appetizing.  I also furnish some decent drinks and a good cigar if you want one.
• You can structure the day anyway you want.  If you want spend half day study insects or casting lesson, nymph techniques etc..I'm flexible.
• I'll give you a nice portfolio of photos of your day with me at no extra charge.
• I'll also furnish some of flies etc.  and I don't charge.
